Iran threatens to hit America hard

Iran has warned it would respond forcefully if the United States launches an attack, escalating tensions between the two nations.

President Donald Trump said this week he believes Iran may be approaching the capability to develop missiles that could potentially reach US territory — a claim that remains debated among analysts. What Iran does currently possess are missiles with an estimated range of roughly 1,200 miles, putting multiple US bases in the Middle East within reach.

Military installations in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan could fall inside that range. Some analysts suggest extended-range scenarios could also place certain European US-linked bases at risk.

Experts note that unpredictability has often played a role in high-stakes negotiations. While Trump has used unpredictability as a strategic tool, some observers argue Iran’s own uncertainty about escalation could act as a deterrent to a broader conflict.
