Step Inside the World’s Most Playable Gaming Museum

A new museum in Zagreb, Croatia, is giving gaming fans a rare chance to step directly into the history of an industry that reshaped global entertainment.

Featuring more than 3,000 artifacts across 50 years, the museum allows visitors to see and play everything from 1960s computers and early home consoles to legendary arcade machines and the 3D revolution of the 1990s and 2000s.

The collection includes exceptionally rare pieces such as Computer Space, the world’s first arcade machine, along with replicas of hardware from the 1960s and 1970s that no longer exist in original form.

Founded by retired game developer Damir Slogar, who spent decades working in both Europe and North America, the museum grew from his personal archive of games, consoles, and memorabilia.

The space spans three floors and 800 square meters, designed to trace the evolution of gaming technology and culture across continents. Younger visitors come to see the hardware that shaped earlier generations, while older fans return for a deeply nostalgic trip.
