Gaza Wars Through the Years
Since 2008, Gaza has endured multiple wars between Israel and Hamas, each leaving a trail of devastation.
From Operation Cast Lead in 2008–2009 to the ongoing conflict of 2023–2025, the human toll has been staggering: thousands of Palestinians and hundreds of Israelis have lost their lives, while tens of thousands of homes, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed.
Each conflict has deepened humanitarian crises, leaving Gaza’s healthcare and economy on the brink of collapse and displacing countless families.
On the Israeli side, repeated rocket attacks and conflict-related casualties have inflicted widespread trauma and insecurity.
Despite international calls for peace, the cycle of violence has persisted, with each escalation compounding the suffering on both sides and highlighting the urgent need for sustainable solutions.
