Frozen Fairways: Golfing at the Edge of the World

In one of the most extreme sporting events on the planet, golfers from seven nations—including China, the U.S., Brazil, and South Africa—gathered in Antarctica to compete in the Antarctic Clock Golf Championship.

With temperatures plunging to –15°C and icy winds sweeping across the frozen landscape, players faced a course unlike any other.

Using the same Q Club, a revolutionary travel golf club capable of both chipping and putting, each participant braved the cold to complete a time-based round inspired by 19th-century clock golf.

The format featured just four tee points marked with national flags, with players judged on both strokes and speed.

In the end, China’s Oliver Wang claimed the championship title, proving that the love of golf can thrive even at the edge of the world.
