Dubai’s $980 Coffee: The World’s Most Expensive Brew

Dubai, long known for extravagance, is now home to the world’s most expensive cup of coffee, served at Julith cafe.

Each cup costs nearly $1,000 and is brewed from rare Panamanian “Nido 7 Geisha” beans, purchased at an intense auction for a record-breaking $600,000 for 20 kilograms.

The coffee offers floral and fruity flavors reminiscent of tea, with notes of jasmine, orange, bergamot, apricot, and peach.

Julith plans to serve roughly 400 cups, reserving most of the beans for Dubai’s ruling family.

The luxurious brew follows the emirate’s trend of setting extreme records, including indoor skiing, the tallest building in the world, and artificial islands dotted with five-star hotels, solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a playground for the rich.
