Bomb Cyclone Nor’easter Slams Northeast with Blizzard Conditions

A powerful bomb-cyclone nor’easter is battering the Northeast, bringing blizzard conditions and heavy snowfall across multiple states. Snow totals are nearing two feet in parts of New York, New Jersey, and New England. Wind gusts up to 90 miles per hour have toppled trees and downed power lines, leaving more than 500,000 homes and businesses without electricity.

Blizzard warnings stretch from Maryland to Maine, impacting roughly 35 million people. States of emergency have been declared, and National Guard units are deploying to assist with storm response.

Air travel has been heavily disrupted, with more than 5,000 flights canceled. Snowfall rates are reaching three inches per hour in the hardest-hit areas. Officials warn that roads remain extremely dangerous due to whiteout conditions, with clearing skies expected tomorrow but bitter cold and strong winds lingering across the region.
