Cramer Warns Hezbollah Could Exploit Iran Conflict

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer said the conflict involving Iran raises broader concerns across the Middle East, warning that instability could create opportunities for other actors in the region.

Speaking with reporters on Capitol Hill, Cramer said the “fog of war” often brings uncertainty and risk, particularly when multiple regional groups could attempt to take advantage of shifting military dynamics.

He pointed to Hezbollah as a key concern, describing the group as closely tied to Tehran and warning that it should reconsider its actions amid ongoing military pressure on Iran.

Cramer also said NATO allies and European partners should play a supportive role in maintaining stability, including allowing access to bases and sharing responsibility among allied nations. He added that alliances help distribute the burden of security operations and improve coordination among partners.

The senator also defended the timing of military action authorized by President Donald Trump, saying the administration had previously attempted diplomatic engagement with Iran before deciding to move forward with military operations.
