Central Perk Returns: A ‘Friends’ Café in Times Square

Fans of the beloved sitcom Friends will soon have a new reason to gather: a full-scale recreation of the iconic Central Perk café is set to open in Manhattan’s Times Square in late 2025.

The venture, announced by Central Perk Coffee Co. in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, promises an authentic experience, complete with apricot-colored couches and the instantly recognizable clipart-style logo from the series.

The café will offer blends like the “Pivot Blend” and “We Were on a Coffee Break,” direct nods to some of the show’s most memorable moments.

While Central Perk Coffee Co. already runs a Boston outpost, the New York location aims to bring the heart of the Friends story back to the city where Phoebe, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, and Joey lived their fictional lives.

Executive Peter van Roden emphasized that Central Perk was always the group’s true home base, and fans worldwide—from New York to Shanghai—have long sought to recreate the magic.
