Caine: Iran’s Naval Forces Largely Neutralized

At a Pentagon briefing, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine outlined progress in the ongoing operation. He stated that over 2,000 targets have been struck, including more than 20 Iranian naval vessels, one submarine, and a frigate outside the area.

Caine said these strikes have effectively neutralized Iran’s major naval presence in the theater, giving U.S. and allied forces significant control over the Strait of Hormuz and the surrounding waters. He emphasized the scale and precision of the campaign in achieving these objectives.
