How Beyoncé Reached Billionaire Status, According to Forbes
Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, according to Forbes, becoming the fifth musician to join the business magazine’s list of the world’s wealthiest artists.
The American singer joins an elite group that includes Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and her husband Jay-Z, whom Forbes estimates to be worth $2.5 billion.
Earlier this month, Forbes valued Beyoncé’s net worth at $800 million and predicted she would soon cross the billion-dollar threshold following a series of highly profitable projects.
A major driver of that growth was her 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which grossed nearly $600 million globally, making it one of the most successful tours of the decade.
Beyoncé also released a concert film tied to the tour, distributing it directly through a deal with the AMC theater chain. Forbes estimates she earned nearly half of the film’s $44 million global box office revenue.
Her 2024 album Cowboy Carter was met with critical acclaim and won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, marking her first win in the category.
Additional income from touring, merchandise sales, a Netflix NFL halftime show, and brand partnerships helped push her net worth past $1 billion, Forbes reports.
