Bad Bunny Accused of Misusing Puerto Rican Home for ‘La Casita’ Stage Set
Román Carrasco Delgado, an 84-year-old widower from Humacao, Puerto Rico, has filed a $1 million lawsuit against global superstar Bad Bunny, claiming his home was misused as the model for the rapper’s iconic “La Casita.”
The salmon-colored house with yellow trim, which Carrasco designed and built with his family in the 1960s, was first featured in a short film for Bad Bunny’s album Debí Tirar Más Fotos and later replicated inside the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum during the artist’s residency concerts.
Carrasco alleges that the exposure stripped him of privacy, as fans now swarm his property daily to take photos, while he faces online ridicule. He further accuses Bad Bunny and affiliated companies of illicit enrichment, asserting that he was misled into signing contracts he could not read and was paid only $5,200, despite the video featuring his home amassing more than 22 million views.
The lawsuit claims his signature was fraudulently reused to authorize deals, voiding any agreements.
