The 15-Year-Old Who Became “Fedora Man” After a Louvre Heist

When a photo of a sharply dressed teenager striding past armed police at the Louvre went viral, the internet erupted with theories.

The image, taken after a daring daylight heist of the French crown jewels, showed what looked like a film-noir detective stepping into a modern mystery.\

But the truth was far simpler — and more charming. The mysterious “Fedora Man” turned out to be 15-year-old Pedro Elias Garzon Delvaux, a Sherlock Holmes fan from Rambouillet, France, who happened to be visiting the museum with his family that day.

Rather than rushing to clear up the confusion, Pedro decided to enjoy the global speculation, saying he wanted “to let the mystery last.”

The photo drew millions of views, made headlines from Paris to New York, and turned the high schooler into an accidental symbol of old-world elegance in the age of viral fame.
