‘World’s Oldest Marathon Runner’ Fauja Singh Dies at 114 in Road Accident

Fauja Singh, known as the “Turbaned Tornado,” passed away at age 114 after being struck by a vehicle in India.

The Indian-born British runner became an international icon after taking up long-distance running at age 89, completing full marathons well into his 100s.

Though not officially recognized by Guinness due to lack of birth records, Singh carried the Olympic torch and inspired millions with his endurance and message of lifelong fitness.
