Team USA Holds Strong at Milano-Cortina Olympics With 17 Medals

With six days remaining at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, Team USA has secured 17 medals, placing third behind Norway (26) and Italy (22). American athletes have won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze medals across multiple disciplines.

Speed skater Jordan Stolz leads the U.S. contingent with two gold medals, while Breezy Johnson captured downhill gold. Figure skaters Ilia Malinin and Alysa Liu helped the team earn a figure skating team gold. Freestyle skier Elizabeth Lemley earned both gold and bronze, Chloe Kim took silver in the halfpipe, and Jaelin Kauf added two silvers in skiing events. Cross-country skier Jessie Diggins contributed a bronze medal, and curlers Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin won mixed-doubles silver.

In men’s hockey, Team USA secured a 5-1 victory over Germany, advancing to the quarterfinals from Group C. Meanwhile, the Olympic Village buzzed with activity, with about 10,000 condoms already used, prompting a resupply. With finals still ahead, Team USA remains a strong contender to climb further in the medal standings.
