ZooLights Returns to DC National Zoo with Giant Pandas Stealing the Show

The National Zoo in Washington, D.C., is kicking off the holiday season with the return of ZooLights, running now through January 3, 2026. The event features over a million LED lights, more than 100 glowing animal lanterns, live music, festive treats, and after-dark train and carousel rides for families.

This year, two giant pandas — Bao Li and Qing Bao — are capturing hearts, becoming stars of the season since their public debut earlier this year.
