A Piece of Presidential History: Trump’s Early Home for Sale Again
The house where Donald Trump spent his early childhood is once again up for sale, drawing renewed attention to one of New York City’s most recognizable addresses.
Located in Jamaica Estates, Queens, the five-bedroom Donald Trump childhood home was built in 1940 by his father, developer Fred Trump, and served as the family’s first residence before they moved to a larger property nearby.
After years of neglect that left the interior covered in mold and damaged by a burst pipe, the property was purchased by developer Tommy Lin for $835,000 and completely renovated during an eight-month overhaul costing about $500,000.
The restored Trump childhood home now features modern finishes, smart-home systems, and retains its original Tudor-style brick façade. Over its unusual history, the Donald Trump childhood house has been flipped on Inauguration Day 2017, briefly turned into a Trump-themed Airbnb, and repeatedly traded among investors.
Now listed for $2.3 million, it’s being marketed as both a piece of Trump family history and a rare find in the upscale Queens neighborhood.
