Trump Unveils Farm Aid, Loan Boost and Fuel Plan
President Donald Trump announced a series of new measures aimed at supporting American farmers during an event at the White House, describing the initiative as part of a broader economic push for rural communities.
Speaking to a large gathering on the South Lawn, Trump said the administration is expanding loan guarantees through the Small Business Administration to support farmers, food suppliers, and agricultural producers across multiple sectors, including livestock, grain, and produce.
The president also highlighted major updates to renewable fuel standards for 2026 and 2027, saying the plan would generate more than $10 billion in rural economic benefits and create an estimated 100,000 jobs while increasing domestic energy production.
Trump called on Congress to pass a new farm bill and pledged additional financial relief for farmers in upcoming funding legislation.
He also emphasized efforts to lower equipment costs, referencing major manufacturers such as John Deere and Caterpillar Inc., and said the administration is working to reduce regulatory burdens on agricultural equipment suppliers.
The announcement comes as part of a broader push to support U.S. agriculture, reduce costs, and strengthen rural economic growth.
