Trump Hosts Latin American Leaders at Security Summit
President Donald Trump hosted leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean at the Shield of the Americas Summit in Doral, Florida on March 7.
The meeting focused on regional security cooperation, migration, and joint efforts to combat drug cartels. During his remarks, Trump discussed global conflicts and said, “I ended eight wars… and we have another one coming, I think.”
Leaders from countries including Argentina, Ecuador, and El Salvador attended the summit. Major regional powers such as Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia were notably absent.
