President Trump warned aboard Air Force One that while a deal with Iran could come soon, failure could lead the U.S. to “obliterate” Iran’s oil and power infrastructure and potentially seize oil from Kharg Island. Indirect negotiations continue with Pakistan as mediator, though Iran has rejected the latest proposal, demanding an end to strikes and inclusion of Lebanon in any deal. Lebanon ordered Iran’s ambassador to leave over Tehran’s backing of Hezbollah, but he remains in place amid support from Iran and allied groups. Israeli operations are expanding in southern Lebanon as rocket fire continues into northern Israel.
