Karoline Leavitt Criticizes Cuban Government, Calls for Democratic Change

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed U.S. policy toward Cuba, saying the United States wants to see “flourishing and prosperous democracies, especially in our own hemisphere.” She described the current Cuban government as “a regime that is failing” and said the country is “collapsing.”

Leavitt added that it would be “in their best interest to make very dramatic changes very soon,” signaling continued pressure for political and economic reform.
