Sen. Ron Johnson: Iran Is a Menace After 47 Years of Hostility

Senator Ron Johnson warned that Iran poses a serious threat to global security and prosperity, saying Tehran has been in a posture of hostility toward the West for decades.

“Iran has been at war with us in a low-grade way for 47 years,” Johnson said, accusing the Iranian regime of supporting terrorism and threatening the safety of the United States and its allies.

He described Iran as a “menace” whose hostile actions must be addressed decisively and said the prolonged pattern of aggression demonstrates why stronger measures have become necessary.

Johnson, who voted against a congressional effort to limit military action in Iran, emphasized that swift, strategic action was required to counter the threat before it escalated further.
