Iran’s 10-Point Plan Seeks Major Shift in Regional Power
Iran has outlined a sweeping 10-point proposal aimed at ending the conflict and reshaping the balance of power across the Middle East.
At the center of the plan is control over the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran proposes coordinating global shipping with its armed forces and establishing a formal security system under its supervision—moves that would give Tehran significant economic and geopolitical leverage.
The proposal also calls for a complete withdrawal of United States combat forces from the region and an end to military operations against groups aligned with Iran’s so-called “Axis of Resistance.”
In addition, Iran is demanding the lifting of all sanctions, the release of frozen assets, and full financial compensation for war-related damages.
On the international stage, the plan seeks to overturn decisions made by both the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Security Council, while also pushing for a binding UN resolution to formalize the agreement.
The final points of the proposal aim to elevate the deal into binding international law, ensuring long-term enforcement and securing Iran’s political and security interests.
Analysts note that while the proposal outlines Iran’s maximal demands, many of its terms would likely face strong opposition from Western powers and regional allies, making negotiations highly complex.
