Inside Israel’s Largest Defense Company’s Growth

Israel’s largest defense company, Elbit Systems, is seeing increased demand for its products as the war involving Iran continues, according to Reuters.

The company produces a range of military systems, including drones, electronic warfare equipment, and long-range guided munitions.

Recent figures highlight the scale of its growth. Elbit reported an order backlog of $28.1 billion at the end of 2025, up from $22.6 billion in 2024. This represents a $5.5 billion increase, driven largely by international demand.

According to Reuters, around 72% of the company’s orders now come from outside Israel.

Demand has also increased domestically. The company recorded $2.5 billion in new orders from Israel, roughly 2.5 times its typical level. Much of this demand is linked to ongoing military activity and the need for systems that have been tested in operational environments.

Financial markets have also reacted. Elbit’s shares have risen more than 65% so far in 2026, according to Reuters.
