What Ghislaine Maxwell told the DOJ about Trump and Epstein
Ghislaine Maxwell, the former British socialite serving a 20-year prison term for helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse underage girls, has denied long-rumored claims about Epstein’s alleged “client list” and defended President Donald Trump against misconduct allegations.
In a newly released transcript of a July interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Maxwell insisted that she never witnessed Trump engage in inappropriate behavior and emphasized that she was unaware of any secret list of high-profile figures tied to Epstein.
“The President was never inappropriate with anybody,” she said. The Justice Department released the transcripts and audio recordings amid mounting public pressure over its decision not to disclose files from its Epstein investigation, a move that has fueled conspiracy theories.
Maxwell also reiterated that she never personally saw Epstein abuse anyone, despite jurors in her 2021 trial hearing explicit testimony from victims. Epstein’s 2019 death in a New York jail, ruled a suicide, and his social ties to Trump, Bill Clinton, and other elites have long intensified speculation about the extent of his network.
Maxwell, who has appealed her conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court, maintains her innocence and continues to seek legal relief.
