Eight Children Dead in Shreveport Domestic Shooting
Eight children were killed in a mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, in what police say began as a domestic dispute involving family members.
Authorities say the suspect reportedly targeted relatives inside multiple homes in the area, including his own children. The victims ranged in age from 1 to 14 years old, making the incident one of the deadliest child-focused domestic shootings in recent years.
Police say the suspect fled the scene after the shooting, carjacked a vehicle, and led officers on a pursuit before being shot and killed by law enforcement.
Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the attack as the community responds to the scale of the tragedy.
