A New Banksy Mural Appears in London Ahead of Christmas

A new mural attributed to Banksy has appeared in London just ahead of Christmas, depicting two children lying on the ground and looking up at the sky.

The black-and-white artwork shows the figures dressed in winter clothing, including coats, boots and bobble hats, and was painted above garage doors in west London. An identical image also appeared near London’s Centre Point tower, though only one version has been formally confirmed by the artist.

Banksy is a British street artist whose real identity remains unknown. He began his career spray-painting buildings in Bristol and has since become one of the most recognizable figures in contemporary art.

His murals and installations often appear without warning in public spaces and are known for addressing themes such as social inequality, protest, war, and justice.

Works attributed to Banksy have sold for millions of dollars at auction, while others have been removed, vandalized, or preserved behind protective coverings.

The new London artwork arrives during the holiday season and follows a series of recent Banksy pieces across the city.

Earlier works have included murals focused on the legal system, animal imagery, and environmental themes.
