Artemis II Crew Arrives Ahead of Moon Mission
The crew of Artemis II has arrived at Kennedy Space Center as preparations intensify for the upcoming mission around the Moon.
Four astronauts and two backup crew members landed in Florida ahead of the scheduled launch, marking a major milestone in NASA’s return to crewed lunar missions.
Commander Reid Wiseman emphasized the importance of the mission, saying the top priority is to successfully complete the flight. Artemis II will be the first crewed mission of the Artemis program, sending astronauts on a journey around the Moon and back.
The mission is seen as a critical step toward future lunar landings and long-term exploration, including plans to return humans to the Moon’s surface for the first time in decades.
NASA officials say final preparations are underway as teams continue system checks, training, and mission coordination ahead of launch.
