Americans Divided on Iran Strikes

A new YouGov poll reveals that Americans remain deeply divided over the U.S. attacks on Iran, with more voters disapproving (48%) than approving (37%) of the military action.

The partisan divide is stark: 78% of Democrats disapprove, while 76% of Republicans approve.

Intensity also splits along party lines—65% of Democrats strongly disapprove, compared to 53% of Republicans who strongly approve.

Among Republicans, MAGA supporters are far more likely to strongly approve (65%) than non-MAGA Republicans, who tend to “somewhat approve.”

Since the first day of strikes on Saturday, opinions have hardened: Democratic disapproval has climbed from 70% to 78%, while Republican approval has risen from 68% to 76%.

The number of undecided Americans has shrunk as the conflict continues, leaving a deeply polarized public with little common ground on the war.
