Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a dramatic address Saturday as U.S. and Israeli strikes hit Iran, announcing a joint campaign called “Operation Lion’s Roar” aimed at ending the threat from the Ayatollah regime.
Netanyahu warned the operation would be “far more powerful” than last June’s 12-day war, accusing Iran of plotting to rebuild nuclear and missile capabilities beyond reach.
“If we do not stop them now, they will become invulnerable,” he declared. In an extraordinary appeal, Netanyahu directly addressed the Iranian people, telling them they are not enemies and urging them to “cast off the yoke” of their leaders.
“Help has arrived. Take your destiny into your own hands,” he said. He thanked President Trump for “courageous leadership” and acknowledged challenging days ahead, warning of potential costs but arguing inaction risks annihilation.
